Pennies for Patients
During the month of April, students participated in the "Pennies for Patients" program sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This annual fundraising program is run in schools to find a cure for blood cancers. Each class had a collection box that they filled weekly with pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters, and dollars. For every dollar a child donates they were able to fill out a paper penny which has been displayed in the lower grade hallway. Our goal was to raise $1000.00 or more. We were very fortunate as well as blessed to have raised over $2100.00!!
