Survey. We have extra surveys at the welcome center that can
be placed in the Family Life mailbox (right outside of the church
office). Forms can also be completed
online (see link above) just click on the Fam- ily Life tab. These surveys will help the Family Life Group in planning events that you will enjoy being a part of!  CLASSIFIEDS
STL Family Life
- we are looking for donations of plates, cups, silverware, and napkins
for upcoming potlucks. Donations may be labeled and left at the welcome
center.
Vacation Bible School - will be offered July 14 thru 18. If you are willing to help out please call Jacqui Scalet. Youth Group Junior
Youth - All students in grades 6-8 are invited to join
us in the youth room on the second and forth Friday of every month from

Please contact the school office for more information. Bone Marrow Drive  How would
you like to save someone’s life? On Sunday, May 11,
the St. Thomas Parish nurse along with the Family Life Committee is
sponsoring a Bone Marrow Donor Drive. To be put on the
registry you will need to provide a sample of your tissue
type. This simple test consists of a swab of the inside of
your cheek; no pokes! Normally there is a $59 charge to be
put on this donor registry but the fee is waived due to the Thanks Mom
Campaign which is why this is being held on Mother’s Day.
Here is a perfect way to celebrate your Mother’s Day this
year. First, go to church to thank and praise the Lord for
giving you and/or making you a mother. After church, give
back by being put on this list so you can possibly save someone else’s
mother the heartbreak of losing her child. The rest of the
day is all yours! If you have questions or would like to help

for more information.Junior Youth Fundraiser  Wendy’s on Harper at 13 Mile will be donating a percentage of all profits made on May 14 from 4-8pm. Bring your family to dinner at Wendy's and support our junior youth. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help pay for the junior youth retreat scheduled for August 1-3 at Concordia, Ann Arbor. 12 hour craft day  We will be offering a 12
hour craft day on Saturday, May 31 from 8am to 8pm to benefit the
Junior Youth. This is a fun filled day that is offered to scrapbookers, card makers and anyone else who would like to work on their projects. Cost is $20.00 and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and  snacks. We will again have a silent auction. Donations are appreciated. We have invited Close to my Heart, Creative Memories and Tupperware representatives. Please come and enjoy the day with us. Advance registration is required. Please complete the attached form and mail to Amy Thornton, 18405 21 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48044. Checks may be made payable to St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Call Amy Thornton at (586)615-4698 with any questions. Father and Son Golf Outing  We have scheduled our father and son golf outing for June 1. It will be at Jawor’s on Gratiot at 1pm. Cost is $8.00. Annual Rummage Sale  The Annual Rummage Sale is coming fast! Keep setting all that good stuff! The sale will be June 20 and 21. We will have helpers in the gym on the 16 thru 18 collecting your donations. This is a great way to clean your house and help STL. Monies collected this year will be used for Family Life and our senior youth. Hours for the sale will be 8-4pm on the 20th with $1.00 early bird fee from 8-9am. Hours for the 21st will be 9-4pm. If you would like to volunteer for this sale or have items you would like to donate but need help with please contact Amy Thornton at (586) 615-4698. Family Camping Weekend  We
will be camping at Walnut Hills Campground again this year.
Last
year was a lot of fun and this year will be even better! Come
and
spend the weekend of August 8 thru 10 with us. Sign up sheets
are
